Tylman Susato was a composer of the Renaissance Era who wrote several books of simple, yet artistic pieces of music. One of them was “Het derde musyck boexken … alderhande danserye,” a collection of pieces that were written, for the most part, in dance forms. These pieces have been adapted for several different settings, and Patrick Dunnigan has arranged a rather stunning version for band. Performed by the University Of Texas Wind Ensemble, taken from their album “Bells For Stokowski.”
